Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Forte at myforte.online (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Forte (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We may update these Terms from time to time in accordance with Section 11 below.

2. Service description

Forte is an AI-powered career tool that provides the following features:

• CV analysis and competency extraction
• Job opportunity matching via third-party job listing APIs
• Application document tailoring (CVs and cover letters)
• Company deep-dive research
• Gap analysis and development planning

Credit model

Forte operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system. Credits are purchased in packs of 5 for £5 (GBP). There are no subscriptions and no automatic renewals.

• 1 credit — one full session comprising CV analysis, job search, and tailored application documents
• 1 credit — company deep-dive research
• 1 credit — gap analysis and development plan

3. Account terms

• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
• Each individual may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or credit restrictions is prohibited.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
• You must notify us immediately at hello@myforte.online if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Payment terms

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. All prices are in British pounds sterling (GBP) unless otherwise displayed.

Credit purchases

Credits are purchased in packs. Once a credit has been used (i.e. you have initiated a session or feature that consumes a credit), that credit is non-refundable.

Cooling-off period

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of the transaction date and receive a full refund, provided that none of the credits purchased have been used.

By using any credits from a purchased pack, you expressly acknowledge and agree that the digital content has been supplied and that you waive your right to cancel that purchase. This is in accordance with Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

5. AI-generated content disclaimer

Forte uses artificial intelligence to analyse your CV, match job opportunities, and generate tailored documents. You acknowledge and agree that:

• All AI-generated content is advisory only and does not constitute professional career advice, recruitment guidance, or any form of regulated advice.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated output. AI models may produce inconsistent, incomplete, or incorrect results.
• Job listings displayed within the Service are sourced from third-party APIs (including Adzuna and Reed). We do not independently verify these listings and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or legitimacy.
• You should independently verify all information, job listings, and AI-generated content before relying on it for career decisions.
• Competency analyses, match scores, and tailored documents are generated assessments and should be treated as a starting point, not a definitive evaluation of your skills or suitability for any role.

6. Intellectual property

Your content

You retain full ownership of your CV data and any personal information you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI outputs

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use AI-generated outputs (such as tailored CVs, cover letters, and analysis reports) for your personal, non-commercial career purposes.

Our platform

The Service, including its design, code, branding, algorithms, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Forte and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond those expressly stated.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload malicious, fraudulent, or misleading content to the Service.
• Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or any non-human means to access or interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any AI-generated output from the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or algorithms of the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of any third party.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or credit restrictions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these acceptable use provisions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of employment opportunities, or loss of goodwill, however caused and under any theory of liability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms.

9. Termination

By you

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our privacy practices.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably consider harmful to the Service or other users. Where practicable, we will provide notice before termination.

Effect of termination

Upon termination, any unused credits in your account will be forfeited 30 days after the date of termination. If you believe your account was terminated in error, please contact us at hello@myforte.online within that 30-day period.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Service before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request deletion of your account.

11. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

12. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute or complaint regarding the Service, please contact us first at hello@myforte.online. We will endeavour to resolve any dispute informally and in good faith.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may submit the matter to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

13. General provisions

Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, pandemics, or third-party service disruptions.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with any policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Forte with respect to your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
